Overview

Three existences are the titles granted to those Godkings and Emperor Candidates who have enough power to fight back against an Immortal Emperor and not be one-sidedly trampled.[1]

Stages

According to Li Qiye they are divided in three levels:

  1. Emperor Assailant (横击): Title granted those cultivators who could withstand one thousand moves from an Immortal Emperor that only use their heavenly dao (not the Heaven's Will) and a Life Treasure. Some cultivators consider themselves Emperor Assailants after withstand only one hundred moves from a Immortal Emperor (even without a Life Treasure) but that is only self-deception.[2]
  2. Emperor Contender (抗衡): Title granted those cultivators who could withstand one thousand moves from an Immortal Emperor using the Heaven's Will power or a true Imperial Massacre.[1]
  3. Emperor Rival (齐驱): Title granted those cultivators who could fight evenly with an Immortal Emperor even if they use their full power.[1]

The assignment of these levels could change depending on the generation one is born. They depend on the power of the contemporary Immortal Emperor. Prime Sea God could be considered an Emperor Rival aganist Immortal Emperor Mu Zhuo, but he wouldn't be so highly assessed if he was born in Jiao Heng's generation.[3]

Cultivation

Once an Immortal Emperor obtains the Heaven's Will, their heavenly dao is enough to completely suppress ordinary Godkings. In order to resist aganist this suppression and fight back, a cultivator should be at least:

A Legendary Godking with a grand completion Immortal Physique could be considered an Emperor Contender; a Nine Worlds Godking with a grand completion Immortal Physique could be considered an Emperor Assailant. A Sea God using the Trident could be considered an Emperor Contender, but without it is only an Emperor Assailant.[3]

Those previous ways may let cultivators to reach the Emperor Contender level. But it is virtually impossible for cultivators to reach the Emperor Rival level since that would mean any person could be an emperor.[9] The strength of the Heaven's Will couldn't be matched without an equal heaven defiant power. For that reason so few Emperor Rivals had existed.[10]
