Qing Yu is the Prime Descendant of the Qing Clan.[1]
He was supposed to be the prime candidate for the Alchemy Conference as the Giant Bamboo Country's representative, but Li Qiye's alchemy dao was peerless and he wasn't selected, so he became exasperated by him.
He provoked Li Qiye again and again, so Li Qiye used his great acting skills to bait Qing Yu to take a life-and-death bet. The conditions are that Qing Yu will scream and test if the Ominous Star Flower was truly asleep or was just pretending using the Qing Clan's special mix made by him. Li Qiye must commit suicide using his cauldron's Fire Source if the flower didn't react. The results were as expected and the flower ate him whole.[2]
