There are Nine Grand Heavenly Scriptures (九大天书) in the Nine Worlds, each having their own Merit Laws and Secret Arts.
Each Epoch has a different comprehension of the Nine Grand Heavenly Scriptures, and different meanings based on their resonation with the origin of the grand dao.[2]
The Nine Grand Heavenly Scriptures are just collections of elemental runes that the grand dao is made of; they are meaningless, formless and nameless. When someone understand them, the cultivator can give them content, form and name. In a remote era, a supreme existence possesed all the scriptures, gave them the form of books and fixed the name and content for which they are in the Nine Worlds and the Tenth World. However they can still evolve and adapt to new cultivation systems, creating new arts and changing theirs names or forms.
Example: In the Immortal Demon Grotto Master's Era, the Longevity Scripture was named the Samsara Scripture, and at an unknown Era in the 3 Immortal World's Myriad Sector, the Physique Scripture was named the Martial Ancestor 12 types.

Li Qiye obtained 6 of 9 Grand Heavenly Scriptures (Physique, Space, Death, Thought, Longevity and Time).
The Qian Family of the Tenth World's Celestial Clan is rumored to have one heavenly scripture in their possession as well and Li Qiye forced them to give him a copy.
The Nine Grand Heavenly Scriptures take new forms and names, after being reopened by Li Qiye.
- Supreme - the new heavenly scripture previously known as Thought Scripture.[3] It is named Four Truth of Supreme in Eight Desolates.
- Death - a new page of the Death Scripture, which ceased to exist.[4]
- Finality - it replaced the Physique Scripture, encompassing and surpassing all the sword dao in the world.[5]
- Myriad World - before known as the Space Scripture[6] It's name was Six Wheels of the Myriad Realms in Eight Desolates.
