History
Origin
The Gu Clan is an extremely ancient clan;[1] it exists at least since the Desolate Era.
Jiao Heng
At some point Immortal Emperor Jiao Heng owed a debt to the Gu Clan, so he bestowed the nine Immortal Writs and a Rock to them.[2]
Current Era
The Gu Clan owns a shop in the Ancient Sky City, the Archaic Style.[3]. During his visit, Li Qiye shared his knowledge about Early People's Nine Languages to them.
Eight Desolates
Gu Clan is one of the clans of the Nine Worlds who was confirmed to have survived until the Eight Desolates Epoch, and located in Sword Continent.[4]
Archaic Style is the largest store in Purification Street and even one of the biggest store in entire Eight Desolates.[5]
Unlike other powers who cared about expansion and passing down their arts, Archaic Style kept on doing business quietly for generations while maintaining a golden reputation.[6] As a result, this reputation earned them continuous business from top sects and masters.
Even Omniscient Dao Lord left his inheritance, the Preeminent Legacy, to the Archaic Style. The dao lord’s monstrous wealth was coveted by all. Moreover, he left it to Archaic Style as well. If they desired it, they would have thousands of means to monopolize this wealth.[6]
However, on the contrary, they invested this wealth and multiplied it without taking more than the agreed share.[6]
